Why a task is waiting, slow or failed

What the waiting messages mean, why scrapes or runs queue, how retries work, and what to do when a scrape or run fails.

Updated

Quick answer

Waiting tasks say what they're waiting for: a free browser on the server, a free scrape slot on your plan, the account's other task, or the account's working hours. Slow Sales Navigator pages are retried up to 3 times with longer waits. A failed scrape can be retried with Retry, which waits twice as long and carries on from the page where it stopped.

Slow pages

Sales Navigator sometimes takes minutes to load a page. Each results page gets 3 tries, waiting longer each time, and the scrape shows what it's doing (for example "Page 7 was slow: trying again").

Failed scrapes

The error explains what LinkedIn did. Click Retry: it waits twice as long for each page and carries on from the page where it stopped. Leads already saved are kept.

Runs that stopped early

A connection or message run lists why it stopped: done, daily limit reached, LinkedIn's weekly limit reached, signed out of LinkedIn, or several failed tries in a row.

Frequently asked questions

My scrape shows 0 leads after several minutes. Is it stuck?

Look at its live step. If it says it's waiting for a slow page or trying again, it's working. If it fails, use Retry.

Why do only some of my scrapes run at once?

Scrapes run only as fast as the server's free browsers, your plan's scrapes-at-once limit, and each account's setting allow.
