A LinkedIn account shows as signed out
Why a connected LinkedIn account can become signed out, how to check it with Recheck, and how to sign it in again.
Updated
Quick answer
LinkedIn sometimes ends a session, for example after a password change or a security review. Click Recheck on the profile to confirm its status; if it's signed out, click Sign in (or reconnect it with the extension) and enter any code LinkedIn sends. Its tasks carry on afterwards.
Why it happens
- The LinkedIn password was changed.
- The owner signed out of all sessions on LinkedIn.
- LinkedIn reviewed the account and asked for verification.
- The session expired after a long time unused.
Check and fix
- Open Profiles and click Recheck on the account. It takes up to a minute and confirms whether the session is still signed in, waiting through LinkedIn's in-between pages.
- If it's signed out, click Sign in and enter the LinkedIn password, or reconnect with the browser extension.
- Enter any code or approval LinkedIn asks for: see sign-in codes.
You get a notification whenever an account needs you, so nothing waits unnoticed.
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my campaigns?
No. Campaigns, leads and settings stay; tasks for that account wait until it's signed in.
Why does LinkedIn keep signing an account out?
Frequent sign-outs usually mean LinkedIn sees unusual activity. Lower the account's limits and pace for a while, and see using automation safely.
